1. India-WHO Agreement to Globalize Traditional Medicine Through ICHI Framework

  •  India’s Ministry of Ayush and the World Health Organization (WHO) have signed an agreement to integrate traditional medicine systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddha, and Unani into the global healthcare framework through the International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI).

  • Agreement Details: On May 24, 2025, the Ministry of Ayush and WHO signed an agreement to develop a Traditional Medicine module under ICHI, complementing WHO’s International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11).
