Context
  • The Union Cabinet has approved the PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) with an annual outlay of ₹24,000 crore for six years starting 2025-26. This scheme aims to boost agricultural productivity, promote sustainable farming, and improve farmer incomes by converging 36 existing schemes across 11 ministries.

Key Features of PMDDKY

  • Objective: Enhance agricultural productivity, soil and water conservation, crop diversification, post-harvest infrastructure.

  • Coverage: 100 districts identified on indicators such as low productivity, low cropping intensity, and low credit disbursement.
