India’s trade deficit reduced by 9.4% to $20.3 billion in Q1 (April–June 2025).

Overall exports grew to $210.3 billion (+6% YoY), driven largely by services exports, which rose 11% to $98.1 billion.

Merchandise exports grew marginally (+2%) due to a drop in petroleum prices; however, non-petroleum exports rose by 6%.

Key export destinations: USA (22.1% growth), UAE, Netherlands, China, UK.
